After reports of having a past with domestic violence, UFC has announced that they have suspended Light Heavyweight contender Anthony “Rumble” Johnson.
UFC released the following statement on their official website:
STATEMENT ON ANTHONY JOHNSON
We are aware of the situation involving Anthony Johnson. As a result, we are suspending him indefinitely. We are using a third-party law firm to conduct a formal investigation and once we have more information, we’ll determine whether further course of action is necessary.
Johnson also addressed the situation, posting the following on his official Facebook page:
“The sh*t ppl will say and the lengths ppl will go just to tell a F*cking lie is ridiculous. That’s all I’m going to say and thank you all for the support and positive feedback that I’m getting.”
