Conor McGregor is hopeful Anderson Silva will continue his fighting career after UFC Vegas 12.
In the main event of the card, Silva suffered a fourth-round TKO loss to Uriah Hall. With the loss, he is now 1-7 and one no-contest in his last eight and after the fight, Dana White said he regretted letting Silva compete again. The UFC boss also made it clear that was the Brazilian’s final UFC fight.
However, many believe Silva will fight again and for McGregor, he hopes the Brazilian does.
“Sad to see tonight, but I say keep going! Real fighters never lose that fire so why try to force it out? Simply put time into finding the correct competition and continue on. The right competition is out there, for all levels and ages. Find it and do what you love to do! Forever!,” McGregor tweeted.
Anderson Silva is a legend of the sport but at 45-years-old and on a losing skid, White and many are hoping he hangs up his gloves. Whether or not he will retire after his loss on Saturday is uncertain at this point but for McGregor he believes the Brazilian still has a lot of fight left in him.
