Exclusive Interview With CFFC Champ Ricky Bandejas

Working 40 hours a week, being a husband, and being a father to two daughters (with a third on the way) can be tiring. Ricky Bandejas does all that and also finds time to be one of the most highly touted MMA Bantamweight prospects out there.

If you are looking for someone who is on the cusp of being signed by the UFC, Bandejas is your guy. Undefeated since 2015 and as of August of this year, the CFFC interim Bantamweight Champion.

Ricky was suppose to fight on October 21st but his opponent pulled out last minute. Now Ricky focuses his attention on getting a fight on the December 16th card. No matter the opponent. He just wants to fight.

I had a chance to speak to Ricky about what his average day looks like, what it’s like trying to get fights at this level, his thoughts on the his potential paths to the UFC, and what he thinks he needs to do to get that call.

Make sure to stick with MMANews.com for the latest on that December CFFC card, who is the next prospect to get the call, and where Ricky’s future may take him.

CFFC 69 takes place on Saturday December 16th at the Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
