Jamahal Hill is Healthy And Ready For Paul Craig at UFC 263

Jamahal Hill is scheduled to face Paul Craig at UFC 263. He’s been scheduled to face him for a while, but a battle with COVID-19 would postpone the match and put Hill through a rough time before he could get back to training.

Hill caught up with MMANews and described what he went through after the original scheduled bout did not go through. “When it first hit me, I had a fever. I had a really bad fever, and then the body aches, it was…it was bad. It changes, the symptoms change a little bit.  You know, the fever went down, then it went from that to chest congestion, chest tightness. On to the next week, I started getting headaches, and then stomach pains.”

Hill said there were moments where he coughed up some blood and that the entire ordeal took around three weeks before he began to recover and return to training. Originally scheduled to face Craig last March, Hill has had more than enough time to prepare for the new date of June 12 and he firmly believes Craig has no idea what he is in for.

When asked how he matches up against Craig, Hill said, “I feel like he don’t match up to me at all. I feel I got his number in every aspect of this game. We already know he don’t want to stand with me. He knows he don’t want to stand with me. He feels he has better jiu-jitsu, maybe that’s just where he feels more comfortable,  but he’ll learn.”

Hill said the same school of thought was against him when he fought Ovince Saint Preux in his last fight back in December and said that he considered taking Saint Preux down himself. Hill wound up winning that bout in the second round by TKO.

Hill seems healthy and more than ready to go for UFC 263, how do you think he’ll do?
