Fedor’s brother on his way to UFC
The Russian wants to come out from the shadow of his champion brother
After facing Brazil's Fabricio Werdum in Pride & Honor, the event taking place next Sunday, in Holland, the Russian Aleksander Emelianenko will finish talks with the directors of the UFC. According to MMAUniverse.com, Aleksander’s goal is to take a new direction in his career by leaving Pride and the shadow of his elder brother, the heavyweight champion of the Japanese organization, Fedor Emelianenko.
Confident in his capabilities, Little Fedor already has the heavyweight belt in his sites. “Tim Silvia (current UFC heavyweight champion) is a good fighter. Let’s just say that, if I have the chance to face him, I will take it from him with pleasure”, says Aleksander.
Aside from the duel between Little Fedor and Werdum, Pride & Honor has also planned participations of the Brazilians Murilo Ninja (against Rodney Faverus) and Thiago Tavares, who will face Ulas Aslan.
