In an interview with MMAjunkie, Alex Davis offered up his thoughts on what could be next for UFC heavyweight Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva.

The former title contender lost for the seventh time in 11 UFC fights to Roy Nelson recently, dropping his overall record to 19-10-1. While he has not yet been released, it is expected after the promotion almost cut him earlier this year.

“I think ‘Bigfoot’ will probably be out of the UFC and probably go to Rizin (FF) or Russia,” Davis said.

The bout with Nelson featured an interesting post-fight moment, as Nelson kicked referee John McCarthy. His case has since been sent to the MMA Superior Justice Court for evaluation. And while Davis appreciates the reason “Big Country” went after McCarthy, he knows consequences are to come.

“I love him for that, but if everybody in that moment physically touches the referee, we’re going to have endless problems,” Davis said. “Although I love him for his attitude, I don’t think he should have done that.”

Nelson felt that McCarthy was not quick enough to call off the fight, forcing him to land more punches than he wanted to against Silva, who he calls a friend.
