UFC President Dana White spoke with FUEL TV's Heidi Androl following The Ultimate Fighter 17 finale and discussed the outcome of the shows final which seen Kelvin Gastelum upset Urijah Hall with a split decision victory.
Hall had a lot of hype surrounding him, some fans calling for the middleweight to challenge for the UFC Middleweight title after he ran through Gastelum, but the underdog who was picked last had other plans.
White gave his comments on the decision:
“The kid deserved the hype,” said White. “The question becomes, can you handle the pressure? And what it looked like to me was… on the show when he came out he was a killer, trying to take everybody out. And tonight he looked like he folded under the pressure, like he didn't even want to be in there.
