UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson was expected to defend his title against Wilson Reis last month at UFC 201 before an injury sidelined “Mighty Mouse.”
Now, we likely will not see Johnson again until December.
A report by MMA Fighting has indicated that the only man to hold the UFC flyweight belt will return at The Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale vs. the winner of the reality series. The UFC put the show together with 16 regional champions, giving the man to come out on top a shot at the belt.
The Ultimate Fighter 24 debuts on FOX Sports 1 August 31 with Joseph Benavidez and Henry Cejudo as coaches.
