Dennis Bermudez likes to release all of his anger on his opponent once the Octagon door closes.
This Saturday night at UFC Fight Night 92, Bermudez will get that chance once again when he faces Rony Jason in the co-main event. But he is also taking a bit of a different approach to the bout with the Brazilian.
“He likes to throw highlight reel strikes, knees, spins. I’m just not going to be there. You’re going to see a different Dennis. Some of my weaknesses have been being too aggressive. I’ve got 15 minutes to torture a guy,” Bermudez said. “I’m getting older. I can’t get in those bloodbaths like I used to. I’m trying have longevity in the sport. I’m trying to get better. I’m not just changing my style, but evolving my style.”
Bermudez (15-5) has gone 8-2 over his last 10, including wins over Tatsuya Kawajiri, Clay Guida and Max Holloway.
