Although Bill Goldberg won’t be fighting fellow former WWE Superstar Jose Alberto Rodriguez (Alberto Del Rio), we may still see him enter the fighting world soon.
During Goldberg’s appearance on “The MMA Hour” this past Monday, he confirmed the fact that he was offered a GLORY kickboxing bout against Rodriguez on May 8th, but he declined it because he felt he wouldn’t be ready in time.
Additionally, Goldberg noted that he wasn’t too keen on the idea of being matched up against another pro wrestler on a real fight card.
Given the fact that Rodriguez suffered a torn quad injury, the fight, if booked, would have been scrapped anyways.
What’s interesting is that Goldberg did mention that he is still seriously considering doing a fight, given the right preparation time and financial offer.
Goldberg is scheduled to host a preview show for GLORY this Friday on Spike TV.
