Donald Cerrone is a fighting fighter.
Cerrone, who earned his third straight win at welterweight this past weekend over Rick Story at UFC 202, asked to face Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight title in November.
But that doesn’t mean “Cowboy” wants to sit on the sidelines until later this year.
Instead, with the Octagon heading to Brazil in September, Cerrone asked UFC president Dana White if he could meet Erick Silva on that card.
Yup. Looking for a fight https://t.co/wYJ7Q9h3Fo

Silva is currently scheduled for the September 24 event that features Cris “Cyborg” Justino in the headline fight. The Brazilian is paired up with Luan Chagas.
It has also been clarified recently that Cerrone has one fight left on his current UFC deal. Over the weekend, it was reported that the Story fight would be the final one on his contract.
