Michael Bisping better watch himself, as Donald Cerrone would definitely take a fight at middleweight if the UFC asked.
“Cowboy,” who faces Kelvin Gastelum next Saturday night at UFC 205, discussed where his future might be during an appearance on “UFC Tonight” recently.
“I’m going to keep fighting at 155, 170 and 185,” Cerrone said. “Who cares.”
The 33-year-old Cerrone (31-7) has picked up three consecutive wins since a failed attempt to win UFC lightweight gold last year vs. Rafael dos Anjos. All three of those wins have come at welterweight and have been stoppages.
Cerrone added that he already has a date in mind for one more fight this year, and brought up a potential opponent if the stars align.
“I’d be glad to fight Nick Diaz,” he said. “Anyone who wants to fight December 30, if you’re out there and want a shot, let me know.”
