This morning on ABC’s Good Morning America, they aired the above feature on Holly Holm winning the UFC Bantamweight Championship from Ronda Rousey at UFC 193. Given Rousey’s level of exposure, Holm has done much less mainstream media than you would expect. However, they did return to where the Rousey vs. Holm fight was originally announced for said feature. There is no new interview footage or anything like that in the video, mostly archival stuff on top of new clips from the fight.
Holm’s stunning head kick knockout finish of Rousey at UFC 193 got a ton of mainstream coverage, including being covered as a major breaking news story by outlets like the Associated Press. In spite of that, Holm has not really done any major mainstream media appearances since the title win. It’s not really clear why, although there are some conspiracy theories on social media with regards to the UFC not wanting to further glorify Rousey’s loss.
