Jennifer Maia and Ayaka Hamasaki will defend their Invicta FC titles next month at Invicta FC 19, the promotion announced.
The event will air live on UFC Fight Pass on September 23 – the night before Cris “Cyborg” Justino makes her Octagon main event debut from Brazil – from the Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, Missouri.
In the headline bout, Maia (13-4-1) defends her interim flyweight title against Roxanne Modafferi. Maia won the belt with a victory over Vanessa Porto via decision, while Modafferi (19-12) has continued to find success in the Invicta FC cage since her time on The Ultimate Fighter.
Hamasaki (13-1) will be in the co-main event, defending her atomweight title against top challenger Jinh Yu Frey. Following a loss to top UFC strawweight contender Claudia Gadelha, Hamasaki has picked up four straight wins. Frey, meanwhile, is on a three-fight win streak of her own.
