USADA has forced the UFC to remove Lyman Good from UFC 205.
Officials announced that Good has been notified of a potential anti-doping violation from a collection obtained on October 14. Good was scheduled to meet Belal Muhammad at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
“USADA has provisionally suspended Good based on the potential anti-doping violation,” the statement read. “USADA, the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, will handle the results management and appropriate adjudication of this case. It is important to note that, under the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, there is a full fair legal review process that is afforded to all athletes before any sanctions are imposed. Consistent with all previous potential anti-doping violations, additional information or UFC statements will be provided at the appropriate time as the process moves forward.”
Good (19-3) scored a win in his Octagon debut over Andrew Craig, improving to 8-1 with one no-contest over his last 10 fights. He is a native of New York and a former Bellator champion.
Officials are expected to try and find a replacement for Muhammad (10-1) to keep him on the card.
