Michael Johnson is looking at this summer for his return to action and chase of the UFC lightweight title.
Johnson (16-10) told MMAjunkie recently that he should be cleared “in the next few weeks” to return to the gym.
“I’m looking at sometime in August,” he added. “Hopefully…I can get ready to start back wrestling and full training, and I’ll be good to go.
“I’m looking for anybody in the 155-pound division that makes sense to me.”
The 29-year-old Johnson has gone 8-6 over his Octagon career, including four straight wins at one point. However, he has dropped his last two via decision to Nate Diaz and Beneil Dariush.
