Miesha Tate was in a much better mood hours after she successfully weighed in for Saturday night and UFC 200.
After a seemingly rough weight cut that left her stepping on the scale just as time was winding down for the early weigh-ins, Tate stepped back onto that same scale in front of everyone Friday evening and let it be known she is ready.
“I’m so excited,” Tate said after a small incident with Amanda Nunes during the face-off after weighing in. “I’m going to go out there (Saturday) and I’m going to rip her heart out.
“I’m going to stomp on it and I will be the reigning champion.”
Tate and Nunes moved from a middle-of-the-pack fight on the main card to the headline event after a series of changes this weekend. The champion thanked everyone for “being here” to enjoy the moment.
