The UFC released a special episode of “On the Brink” recently, detailing the fight-week experiences of UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson and challenger Joseph Benavidez.
This version of that fight was the one to crown the first-ever flyweight champion, as both fighters met in the tournament semifinals. They have since squared off a second time, and “Mighty Mouse” holds wins in both encounters.
Benavidez is set to serve as a coach on the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter, which will crown the next contender to Johnson’s title.
