The UFC released the following into to ESPN Tuesday night, revealing that the recent UFC 202 card was the third biggest pay-per-view in company history.
Featuring a rematch between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz, UFC 202 stands behind only UFC 196 and UFC 100 in terms of draws for the promotion.
UFC 196 featured Diaz earning a second round submission over McGregor in the main event this past March with Miesha Tate submitting Holly Holm for the bantamweight title in the co-main event. It generated 1.9 million PPV buys and a total gate of $8.1 million.
UFC 100 included Brock Lesnar defending his heavyweight title against Frank Mir, Georges St-Pierre besting Thiago Alves for the welterweight title and Dan Henderson knocking out Michael Bisping. It generated 1.6 million PPV buys and a total gate of $5,128,490.
