After having his planned UFC Fight Night 97 main event bout with B.J. Penn called off for this coming weekend, Ricardo Lamas has a new fight date.
Lamas will take on Charles Oliveira at UFC Fight Night 98 next month in Mexico City. The bout was first reported by FloCombat.
After working his way up to the ranks of title contender, Lamas (16-5) was forced back to the drawing board with a loss to then-champion Jose Aldo. He has posted a 7-3 Octagon mark overall.
Oliveira (21-6) has fought 15 times for the UFC, compiling a record of 9-6 overall. He is coming off a submission loss to Anthony Pettis.
UFC Fight Night 98 takes place November 5 and features Rafael dos Anjos vs. Tony Ferguson.
