Today, Cosmopolitan released the above interview clip with UFC Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey talking about an unpleasant experience she had at the Cannes Film Festival. Flanked by her younger sister Julia at a party, they spotted Bieber. Julia asked Ronda if she thought he’d take a picture with her, which Ronda did. So she walked up to them, starting a dialogue that she recounted as going something like this:
Rousey: “Excuse me…”
Bieber: “I’ve already taken a BILLION pictures today, OK?”
Mousey: “Yeah, but…”
Bieber: “A billion!”
Julia, on the verge of tears, told her big sister that “I’m no longer a Belieber,” and that was that. Rousey was especially angry because Julia was literally the only 16 year-old girl (Bieber’s target audience) there, so it’s she wasn’t really imposing on him. She said that she’s not a Belieber anymore, either.
Rousey defends her UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship against Holly Holm in the main event at UFC 193 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, which is expected to sell out the huge Ethiad Stadium. In the co-main event, Joanna Jedrzejczyk defends the UFC Women’s Strawweight Championship against Valeriee Letourneau in an effort to sell Jedrzejczyk as a star in front of Rousey’s female-heavy audience.
