Rousimar Palhares To Jon Fitch: “I’m Coming After Him”

Former UFC contender Rousimar Palhares, who recently pulled out of his scheduled World Series of Fighting debut so that he could assist his sick mother, is now back in the gym and setting his sights on Jon Fitch, the man who called him “unprofessional” for pulling out of the fight, adding that he wish he would have “manned up” and fought him as scheduled.

“My family is my life,” Palhares said in an interview with MMAFighting.com. “I was sad that he said those things, but I’m not bothered. We’ll settle our things inside the cage. I don’t hope he’s my next opponent, I want him to be. I’m coming after him. I will train for him. I want him.”

“I don’t know how the fight would go,” he added, “but I will be ready to do what I want.”

As far as Fitch’s recent fights are concerned, Palhares noted, “I don’t care. I don’t even watch [his fights]. I’m worried about myself and what I’m going to do in the fight. I will be ready to fight anytime they want. I want to fight this year. Please, let me fight this year, and let me fight Jon Fitch.”
