Sage Northcutt Planning Move Back to Lightweight After Second Loss

For Sage Northcutt, the decision was an easy one.

Following a second loss at welterweight, “Super Sage” will return to lightweight where he won his first several bouts.

Sorry everybody I didn't perform as I would have liked… I'll be going back down to my real weight class 155lbs! Thanks for all of the support and to all the people that came out to watch

Northcutt (8-2) was dominated by Mickey Gall this past weekend at UFC on FOX 22, suffering a loss very similar to the one he was given by Bryan Barberena to begin 2016.

As a 155-pound fighter, Northcutt bested both Francisco Trevino and Cody Pfister inside the Octagon. He also scored a win over Enrique Marin between the two losses to Gall and Barberena.

Northcutt recently changed training camps and has also been balancing school with MMA.
