Wanderlei Silva will face Rich Franklin this weekend at UFC 147 but that wasn't the match up he was originally training for. Silva had been preparing for Vitor Belfort, a match up he had been hoping for, but a Belfort injury changed plans.
Silva isn't convinced though that Belfort was ever injured at all. He spoke to MMAJunkie.com about it:
“You need to ask him. I looked in the news, and he started training right now. He recovered so fast, didn't he? I don't know.”
Silva also still plans on fighting Belfort down the line:
“He can run, but he can't hide. Sooner or later, we're going to fight.”
