T.J. Dillashaw Continues His Push To Challenge Dominick Cruz

T.J. Dillashaw still doesn’t believe he lost to Dominick Cruz earlier this year when “The Dominator” walked away with the bantamweight belt.

Dillashaw got right back on the proverbial horse and defeated Raphael Assuncao in July, setting himself up – at least in his mind – for a meeting with Cruz.

But now that Cruz is talking about Demetrious Johnson, Jose Aldo and even Cody Garbrandt, Dillashaw is upset. The former champion told MMAjunkie Radio that he wants his rematch – and he wants it now.

“I ran through Assuncao at UFC 200 and he was No. 2 ranked bantamweight and I was No. 1 and I did my job,” Dillashaw said. “And I feel that I should be getting a rematch for my belt.

“I’m telling you – he knows that it was a very good fight, that I won the fight, that I gave him the best match he’s ever had. He’s going to want to fight everyone but me, because him and his coaches admitted to me before the decision was made, telling me and my coaches, ‘Congratulations, what a great fight, you have a killer on your hands.’

Dillashaw won the belt with a victory over Renan Barao and is now 13-3 overall and 9-3 inside the Octagon.
