Tito Ortiz Wants To Fight Again In November, Possibly Against Quinton Jackson

Following his recent victory over Bellator Middleweight Champion Alexander Shlemenko in May, UFC Hall Of Famer “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” Tito Ortiz is looking to get back into the cage.

According to Ortiz’s muay thai coach Rafael Cordeiro, the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion would like to make his return to action in November.

“He did an excellent fight against Shlemenko,” Cordeiro stated in a recent interview. “He will fight again in November. We don’t know the opponent yet, but he’s already training.”

As far as who Ortiz will fight next, an official opponent has yet to be decided, but Cordeira spoke about the man who his pupil was originally slated to fight under the Bellator banner, former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.

“Who knows, maybe Ortiz vs. Rampage,” said Cordeiro. “It was planned to happen before, so it might happen in the future. This fight will probably happen one day.”

Ortiz and Jackson were originally slated to fight in November in what was expected to be Bellator’s debut on pay-per-view, however an injury forced Ortiz to withdraw from the bout and the PPV show ended up being moved to Spike TV.

Rampage has put together a 3-0 record inside the Bellator cage, with his most recent victory coming by way of decision over Muhammad “King Mo” Lawal in the main event of the same show that featured Ortiz’s victory over Shlemenko.
