Former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum will compete on the same card as the man who took his title, meeting Ben Rothwell at UFC 203.
Werdum dropped the title to Stipe Miocic two weeks ago in Brazil. Miocic defends his title against Alistair Overeem in the main event.
The Brazilian suffered his first loss since 2011 when he was finished by Miocic, dropping to 20-6-1 overall. His six-fight win streak included victories over Cain Velasquez, Mark Hunt and Travis Browne.
Rothwell had his lengthy win streak snapped by Junior dos Santos earlier this year. The 34-year-old Rothwell (36-10) had picked up wins over Josh Barnett, Matt Mitrione, Overeem and Brandon Vera before the setback to dos Santos via decision.
UFC 203 takes place September 10 from Cleveland. The Werdum-Rothwell fight was announced during UFC Fight Night 88 Sunday.
