Evans Kicks Off 2007 in Hollywood on January 25th

Light Heavyweight contender Rashad Evans looks to build on the momentum of his most impressive UFC win to date as he takes on Sean Salmon at the Seminole Hard Rock Live Arena in Hollywood, Florida on Thursday, January 25th.
Spike TV will air this UFC Fight Night event beginning at 8pm ET / PT.
Unbeaten in 14 mixed martial arts bouts, Lansing, Michigan’s Evans burst on the UFC scene in 2005 when he defeated Brad Imes in a torrid three rounder to win the heavyweight division of `The Ultimate Fighter’s second season. After a drop to the light heavyweight class, Evans continued his winning streak with wins over Sam Hoger and Stephan Bonnar, and in his last bout, at UFC 63 in September, Evans was at his best as he knocked out tough Jason Lambert in the second round.
Salmon, a native of Wisconsin who has compiled a 9-1 MMA record, is currently riding a three fight winning streak which includes a 51 second win over Matt Hershberger in his last bout in October. He is a former wrestler at Ohio State who has qualified for the Olympic trials. On January 25th, he will get to test his skills against former Michigan State wrestler Evans in this all Big Ten showdown, MMA style.
