UFC Executive Says UFC 200 Will Be Biggest PPV In Company History

With the enormity of tonight’s UFC 200 event and obligatory comparisons to the last UFC landmark event, UFC 100, which still stands today as the most-ordered event in UFC pay-per-view history, there has been a lot of talk regarding just how big tonight’s event will be in terms of pay-per-view interest from the public.

If you take UFC’s Executive Vice President and Chief Content Officer Marshall Zelaznik’s word for it, tonight will be the night UFC sets a new all-time pay-per-view record.

“This will be our biggest pay-per-view event,” Zelaznik recently said when talking about tonight’s big event to Ad Age. “We’ve made sure that all our distribution partners are prepared for an onslaught. Every effort has been made to prepare for the crush of orders. It’s a monumental moment for us.”

“When boxing was at its peak, there was always a moment when there was a fight where the world would just stop everything and watch. We think UFC 200 is going to be another big ‘stop and watch’ event.”

To put things into perspective, UFC 100, the current record-holder for the UFC, reportedly drew 1.6 million buys on pay-per-view.
