On Friday evening in Melbourne, Australia, the official ceremonial weigh-ins took place for tonight’s UFC Fight Night 101 event, which goes down live from the Rod Laver Arena, airing live on FOX Sports 1.
Every fighter ended up making weight, even if Fight Pass prelim opener Yao Zhikui needed two attempts to successfully hit the 126 pound mark after initially tipping the scales at 127 pounds. By hitting the 126 mark on his second trip to the scales, Zhikui met the UFC Flyweight requiremment, as one pound over is allowed in non-title fights in all weight divisions.
