UFC Heavyweight Blasts Brock Lesnar For Ditching Daniel Cormier Fight

One top five Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight isn’t pleased with how Brock Lesnar handled his supposed retirement.

UFC president Dana White surprised many when he claimed Lesnar told him he was retiring. Lesnar had reentered the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) drug testing pool and appeared to be slimming down on WWE television. It was all for naught, however, and now the UFC is moving forward with Daniel Cormier vs. Stipe Miocic.

Curtis Blaydes Puts Brock Lesnar On Blast

Blaydes was never a fan of the idea of Lesnar jumping the line, but he did admit that he felt Cormier deserved a big money fight. With this latest bit of news, “Razor” took to Twitter to vent:

“F*ck you [Brock Lesnar] holding up the whole damn division just to quit. Inconsiderate [as f*ck].”

Lesnar last competed back in July 2016 against Mark Hunt at UFC 200. Lesnar’s unanimous decision victory was changed to a No Contest after he failed post-fight drug test. If Lesnar is done with mixed martial arts, then he exits with a 5-3, 1 NC record.

The hype surrounding a potential Cormier vs. Lesnar fight began at the conclusion of UFC 226. After Cormier knocked out Miocic to capture the heavyweight title, he called out Lesnar. The WWE star got inside the Octagon and shoved Cormier. Talks of the bout then began to dry up with UFC president Dana White sounding less optimistic about the match-up every time he spoke to reporters.
