UFC.com confirmed this week that the world’s leading MMA promotion will soon be returning to Phoenix, Arizona.
UFC will be returning to Phoenix for a fight card that will air live on FOX Sports 1 (FS1) in January. While no main event has been announced for the card thus far, the following fights have been confirmed:
– Cyril Asker (7-2) vs. Dmitri Smoliakov (8-1)
– Viktor Pesta (10-3) vs. Damian Grabowski (20-4)
– Joachim Christensen (13-4) vs. Bojan Mihalovic (10-4)
The promotion reported the following via their official website on Friday regarding the event, which will take place from the Talking Stick Resort Arena on Sunday, January 15th:
UFC SET TO VISIT PHOENIX IN JANUARY
Talking Stick Resort Arena will be the site when the UFC makes its first visit to Phoenix, Arizona since 2014 on Sunday, January 15.
FS1 will air the UFC Fight Night event. Stay tuned to UFC.com for more fight card announcements, including the main event, as well as ticket on-sale information.
In bouts already made official for the card, A quartet of European heavyweights will be in action, as Cyril Asker meets Dmitrii Smoliakov and Viktor Pesta faces Damian Grabowski. Plus, Joachim Christensen battles Bojan Mihajlovic in a light heavyweight matchup.
