Former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson “The Spider” Silva recently spoke about the possibility of giving MMA fans a super fight that has been talked about for years.
While backstage at the UFC 179 pay-per-view event in Rio de Janeiro, Ariel Helwani caught up with the former 185-pound king and asked him about possibly fighting Georges St-Pierre after his return bout against Nick Diaz at UFC 183.
Due to the fact that he did the interview — which you can watch above — in broken English, there wasn’t a lot of elaboration, however Helwani asked Silva if a fight with GSP would interest him, to which “The Spider” replied, “Yeah, maybe. It’s very interesting.”
Of course, Silva must first get past Diaz, who he fights at UFC 183 on January 31, 2015, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
