It’s becoming quite the task to try and keep up with all that happens in the world of Conor McGregor lately, as the number five-ranked UFC Featherweight contender keeps giving reporters non-stop ammunition for headlines.
This time, however, McGregor was merely responding to a verbal jab thrown at him by another infamous trash-talker, as One FC Welterweight star Ben Askren decided to insult the Irish superstar via Twitter.
Askren wrote “Giving @TheNotoriousMMA another easy tune up match against another non wrestler is a really smart move by the UFC,” likely referring to reports that McGregor will be fighting Dennis Siver on a FOX Sports 1 card in January.
Never one to back down from verbal warfare, “The Notorious” Conor McGregor quickly fired back at Askren, writing, “Hey pube head. I’m the No.1 contender. I could sit and wait. But multi 6 figure cheques feel so nice in my bank. You wouldnt know.”
