Bethe Correia Goes Too Far With Suicide Comment, Asks Ronda Rousey For Forgiveness

Bethe Correia went too far with some of her recent promotional comments towards Ronda Rousey, and is now back-tracking and asking for forgiveness.

Correia, who meets Rousey in the main event of UFC 190 on August 1st in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, told Rousey not to commit suicide after she beats her, noting that she will give her a rematch.

Rousey was quick to react to the comment, pointing out that suicide is not a topic to use as a selling point for a fight. Rousey, who has dealt with the issue personally, as her father committed suicide years ago, told Correia that she is going to pay for those comments.

“Suicide is no joke or selling point. My father will be with me the day I hand you the comeuppance you deserve,” wrote Rousey on Twitter.

Correia, who claims she was unaware of the situation with Rousey’s father, back-tracked and asked the champion for forgiveness.

“Never knew what happened to [your] dad. I’m humble enough to ask [you] for forgiveness,” wrote Correia. “Family is a godly bless to me. See [you] in #UFC190.”
