If you take Michael Bisping’s word for it, the UFC has been trying to put together a fight between himself and former UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre recently.
The reigning UFC Middleweight Champion took to social media on Tuesday and informed his followers that the UFC has been trying to put together a Bisping-GSP fight, although he didn’t say how negotiations were going or when, where and at what weight the potential fight would be.
“They’ve been negotiating this fight for the last few days,” wrote Bisping in a tweet posted on Tuesday evening, which included a hash tag that read, “#letsgochamp.”
In a couple of follow-up tweets currently featured on Michael Bisping’s Twitter wall, “The Count” has been re-tweeting posts from fans urging the UFC to make the fight happen. In an update, “The Count” has claimed that he has, in fact, formally agreed to the bout with GSP and has once again taken to social media to call out GSP for not doing the same.
“Georges St-Pierre, we all want more money,” wrote Bisping. “But let’s go, sign the papers. Give the people of Toronto what they want, be a hero! Let’s go champ!”
