Well, everyone was waiting to find out what would happen with UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones, and now we have the answer.
Following a devastating hit-and-run accident on Sunday morning, which only got worse when Jones ran from the scene and marijuana was found in his rental car, which smashed into a pregnant woman who suffered broken bones as a result, UFC has finally taken action against their 205-pound champion.
According to the official Twitter feed of FOX Sports Live, the show that often breaks various UFC stories, “Bones” Jones has not only been suspended by the UFC indefinitely, but he has been stripped of his 205-pound championship.
The tweet did not indicate what the UFC would be doing in terms of their originally planned 205-pound title main event between Jones and Anthony Johnson at next month’s UFC 187 pay-per-view, however we should have more on that for you in the near future.
