Former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez is planning his return after pulling out of the original UFC 196 PPV with a back injury. He recently underwent successful back surgery. On Wednesday’s edition of UFC Tonight, Ariel Helwani reported that Velasquez wants to return to the Octagon in the summer.
Velasquez has a record of 13-2, and is 4-2 in his last six bouts. It’s expected that he will fight for the heavyweight title when he returns.
