Despite the fact that both UFC and FOX announced that they are cutting all ties with Chael Sonnen, the former UFC title contender will remain on the card for the upcoming Metamoris 4 grappling event on August 9th.
According to the official Twitter account of the grappling promotion, Sonnen will still be competing on their 8/9 internet pay-per-view in his scheduled match against world champion grappler Andre Galvao.
The official Metamoris account tweeted the following:
“@T_RAV_4real: @MetamorisPro is Sonnen still on the card?” Yes. The only test he should be concerned about is the test of his technique.

Metamoris 4 takes place on August 9th at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, California. In addition to the Sonnen-Galvao match, other notable names from the MMA world will be competing on the card, such as Josh Barnett, Vinny Magalhaes and Dean Lister.
