UFC Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman recently mentioned UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones’ name when discussing potential “dream match” opponents, a call-out that has led to a back-and-forth between Weidman and Jones on social media.
“Yeah, that’s definitely not a call out,” Jones noted. “That’s a man appreciating a good fight and a good payday.”
Jones concluded, “I would still have to spank him [though].”
Weidman was quick to respond, noting, “[Jones] you were right all the way up until the end.”
“You got no chance, Jonny!” Weidman concluded.
