Current UFC Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman, who made his name in the upper-echelon of the sport by defeating the legendary Anderson Silva twice, the only fighter to this day to defeat “The Spider” inside the Octagon, is apparently looking to do the same thing to former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones.
Weidman confirmed plans this week to move up to the Light Heavyweight division, where the current UFC Middleweight Champion claims he is most interested in fighting “Bones” Jones.
The UFC’s 185-pound champion took over the official Twitter account of the MLB’s New York Mets franchise on Saturday and answered some questions from fans about the subject. You can read Weidman’s comments below.

For now, Weidman will resume his focus on his upcoming title defense, as he is scheduled to fight highly-regarded contender Luke Rockhold in the co-main event of UFC 194 on Saturday, December 12, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
