CM Punk Explains Differences Between Vince McMahon & Dana White On ESPN SportsCenter

CM Punk appeared on ESPN SportsCenter on Wednesday morning to talk more about his upcoming Octagon debut.

Punk was asked why he is transitioning from WWE to UFC, to which he replied, “Why not?” He conceded that he’s not ready to fight yet, but is working on getting there.

“It’s not going to be easy, but I’m going to get there,” said Punk.

He noted that he’s most comfortable on the ground, but wants to become a well-rounded fighter.

Punk was asked about his detractors and said he understands their point of view, but that it’s his job to do what is best for he and his family. He also mentioned that he uses the negativity to fuel him.

He was also asked about the similarities between WWE promoter Vince McMahon and UFC promoter Dana White. He noted that he didn’t like the way he answered that question during a recent interview.

He said their similarities are that they are both driven, set in their ways and have a good idea of what is best for their companies. He said as far as differences are concerned, it’s a generation issue. He said that McMahon is very “old school,” while White is more “open-minded.”
