Conor McGregor Gets Into Altercation With Urijah Faber On Set Of TUF

Although we’re less than a month away from the culmination of the most recent “Conor McGregor Show,” the “notorious” Irishman has already begun filming what will ultimately be the next chapter.

McGregor, who defeated Chad Mendes at UFC 189 on July 11 to become the interim UFC Featherweight Champion, immediately went into filming for The Ultimate Fighter, where he is coaching alongside Mendes’ Team Alpha Male teammate Urijah Faber, four days later.

“The Notorious” Conor McGregor spoke with Yahoo! Sports about the TUF filming, his victory over Mendes, and his upcoming title unification bout with Jose Aldo.

Regarding the TUF filming with Faber, who McGregor got into a brief altercation with at the weigh-ins for UFC 189, a repeat situation apparently happened, as there are reports that McGregor and Faber got into an altercation again during the first days of shooting for the reality show.

“It’s all friendly stuff, to be honest,” McGregor told Yahoo. “Urijah is harmless. He’s a harmless little man. He amuses me. He’s like an annoying little brother only he’s close to 50 years of age. I’ve been having fun on the show.”

McGregor continued, “Once I got there and I met the people I realized it’s an opportunity of a lifetime. I want to embrace it and put my coaches on. Show my approach to the game, show how my coaches handle training camp and fight preparation. It’s an amazing experience and I’m really enjoying it.”

From there, McGregor would go on to gloat about his ability to predict the exact manner in which he will finish his fights, regardless of the level of the opponent.

“I learned that I never get it wrong,” said McGregor of his prediction of a second-round KO of Mendes at UFC 189. “I always predict correct. I predicted that I would KO [Mendes] inside two rounds. I bet a large sum of money and I won my bet. When I say I will put someone away in whatever time in whatever manner I say, it will happen. That’s what happened. I went in there, lit his body up and I put him away.”
