UFC officials confirmed the rumored bout between rising Featherweight contender Conor McGregor and top-ranked former title contender Dustin Poirier today.
The McGregor-Poirier fight is scheduled to take place at UFC 178, which emanates from a soon-to-be-announced venue in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 27, 2014.
UFC 178 will be headlined by the highly anticipated rematch between UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones and number one ranked contender Alexander Gustaffson.
