UFC President delivered a kick in the gut to die-hard MMA fans recently, as he basically confirmed that MMA legend and former UFC 170-pound king Georges St-Pierre will not be returning to the Octagon.
“I don’t think so, buddy, I’m sorry,” White said to a fan during a UFC 193 Q&A in Melbourne, Australia. “GSP’s rich, man, he’s hanging out and he’s living the good life.”
According to White, to be successful in MMA, you have to be hungry.
“In this sport you have to be hungry,” White said. “You have to jump out of bed every day and want it. You’ve gotta want to win, you’ve gotta want to be a world champion. He’s had it. He’s accomplished all that stuff. He’s made a lot of money, he’s accomplished a lot of things.”
White concluded, “I don’t see him ever coming back, no.”
