While it’s a fight that has been talked about for a long time, it looks as though a fan-favorite UFC Lightweight bout between Donald Cerrone and Khabib Nurmagomedov is finally in the works.
It was first reported on “UFC Tonight” on FOX Sports 1 this week that a Cerrone-Nurmagomediv bout is being discussed for later this year, although nothing is officially set in stone as of yet.
Both fighters are reportedly strongly interested in the fight, which they have tentatively agreed to for the UFC 187 pay-per-view event during Memorial Way Weekend.
UFC 187 is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at a venue yet to be announced.
