Longtime UFC Lightweight veteran Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, who has been waiting for a UFC 155-pound title shot for what seems like an eternity, is apparently sick of waiting and is about to do something about it.
Cerrone, who is expected to be next in line for a shot at the new UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael dos Anjos, will likely have to wait until February for that to happen.
Anyone who knows the “Cowboy” knows full-well, that isn’t going to happen.
Earlier ths week, Donald Cerrone took to social media to point out the fact that he will not be waiting until February — even for a world title shot — and as a result, he is apparently eyeing a move up to the UFC’s Welterweight (170-pound) division.
Cerrone tweeted the following late Monday evening:
“@DStandridge92: Looks like u probably won't fight until February. !”
I will not wait that long. Need something soon or I'm going to 170
