It looks like Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone has his next Octagon assignment.
Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com is reporting that “Cowboy” vs. Jorge Masvidal is in the works for the upcoming UFC On FOX 23 event.
Cerrone last fought at UFC 206 in Toronto, knocking out veteran contender Matt Brown with a head kick. Meanwhile, Masvidal last fought at the TUF 24 Finale event, defeating longtime contender Jake Ellenberger.
UFC On FOX 23 takes place at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado on January 28, 2017. The show features a main event of Julianna Peña vs. Valentina Shevchenko in a UFC Women’s Bantamweight bout.
