UFC did something pretty cool for a fan this week who pointed out a spelling error on their official Facebook page.
Reddit user u/GrayKickass was the fan who corrected the grammatical error in the caption of a video of they posted. UFC fixed the error, and rewarded their observant fan with a pair of official UFC gloves signed by Alexander Gustafsson. “Being an MMA nerd has finally paid off,” u/GrayKickass wrote.
The fan explained how it all went down, and how he still has faith in UFC after their controversial Reebok deal:
They posted a video of Gustafsson finishing the GOAT Matt Hamill and said it happen at UFC 105.
The only reason I knew that was wrong was because I was at UFC 105 and I knew he didn’t fight Hamill, because it was Alex’s debut. So I made the comment, they corrected it, then another guy kicked up a fuss that they didn’t even credit me with the correction and the UFC responded with the gloves.
I know UFC and Dana get shit on a lot by the hardcores, but I think they do a great job looking after their fans.
When asked by another fan if he was going to sell the gloves on eBay, he replied “Nope! I think I’m gonna keep them :)”
