During the most recent edition of his weekly “Ross Report” podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross said he believes UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey will appear at next year’s WrestleMania 31 event.
Ross spoke to former WWE executive and legendary pro wrestling manager J.J. Dillon on his most recent show and during the conversation the face of Women’s MMA came up.
When talking about WWE’s big WrestleMania 31 pay-per-view, which takes place on March 29, 2015 from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, Ross and Dillon, both former Senior Vice Presidents of Talent Relations for WWE, thought that Rousey would be a perfect fit for the event.
“I can almost bet that Ronda Rousey will be there because she’s the hottest thing in MMA, and Ronda Rousey has the Four Horsewomen,” said Dillon.
“So, I’m thinking, ‘Wow!’ That would be a natural thing that the Four Horsewomen will be somehow rubbing elbows with the Four Horsemen,” Dillon continued. “And then “Rowdy” Roddy Piper would have to be there because that’s where “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey picked up the “Rowdy” from. But then again, what do I know?”
Ross then chimed in with his opinion of the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion.
“Yeah, she’s the hottest sports entertainment personality in the world — by far in my view,” said Ross. “Well, by far might be too much, but she’s certainly number one in my book.”
“She sure is right now,” Dillon concluded.
Of course, Rousey must first get past Cat Zingano unscathed, as their UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship fight takes place in the co-main event of UFC 184, which emanates from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on February 28, 2015.
